Words Of Fire

You ever stepped into WOF
alone, with not another soul.
Imagine all those words staring
acting pompous, quite bold.

When no one else is around
they visit from forum to forum
relax and play, let down the hair
no need for uppity decorum.

See poems are but an order
we put our influence upon
we may call it anything
rhyme, free verse, even porn.

But do we consult the words
before striking them a new route
or just go ahead make the decision
like we know what its about.

Check this out. You might be stunned
no, think I'll say," you will be surprised"
at the hellava conversations I heard
the laughing brought tears to the eyes.

I overheard a conjunction, "and"
say she was pregnant with more
than one connection to a sentence
with others too, at least a score.

And the verbs were raising,
I mean raising some serious cane
bout how they get so little chance
to really move against the insane.

I stayed in hiding and peeped
cause they were up in arms
commas were dancing with colons
like they were on funny farms.

In one forum they had a line dance
participles, nouns, adjectives, adverbs
arm in arm kicking it up in glee
shouting out, "ain't this absurd. "

Forgot myself for a minute
tripped over a big pronoun,
instantly, all activity stopped
quiet, like a prison compound.

I got in a hurry fast, and ran
words were seathing in desire
slid thru prior to the Combust
before it turned to "Words Of Fire."
