Elusive Butterfly (A Collaboration)

O the summer sea, all those islands,
all beauteous things gather'd up in thee;
Springing where and when you will
sweet watermoons, in an Autumn evening;
And nature lavished in her cultivated garden
on Earth plac'd, in love more calm'd spirit
Butterfly elusive influence, wonders high
hovering free, and sings of heaven, as birds in the tree;
By impulse known, love's splendid home gathered up
in loveliness singing behind smiling eyes.

A shadow in the sunlight, return'd favour, feast
kneads, rolls the dough, adding passion for the leaven.
And keeps heat just below full temp of baking stage
flutter'd round innocently, while all in thy path do rage.
Ascended - less hasty than wind, spirit spoken
a serene voice praying to Buddha, hymns worshipp'd
And you, sweet love, naming the day for a happy event
hearts triumphant, the pleasure of forefathers gathered;
Fullness of heart, noontide stretched forth, and within you
as lights, down to the harbour, into the ocean, lands united.

A joyful collaboration...my favorite line:  "By impulse known, love's splendid home gathered up in loveliness singing behind smiling eyes."   Yes, dear poet, I am a secret romantic (ssh!  don't tell!)..;D  This line, in itself, makes me smile in the knowing....

Thank you!

Hugs!
