Spread It Around

We reach for the deepest feelings
In our attempt to pull every bit out
And grasp the strings of hearts
As we wield our verses clout.

At times we stomp and yell
Then tender goes the word
To touch the souls of mankind
extremes you’ve never heard.

We stand in judgment of us
And tell all we just tried
To reach the depths of feelings
and not keep them held inside.

We sow love, sorrow and pain
Like seeds we spread the news
And cultivate the crop of verse
So others may share our blues.
