Future?

I finally got it figured out.
It's like they always said.
I saved and planned so well
I'll retire ten years after I'm dead.

Stock markets are way down.
Interest rates lower than in years.
Investments quickly evaporating
adding to the long term fears.

Fuel oil and gasoline
prices headed up to the sky.
Health care cost spiraling
yet the pros can't tell us why.

S'pose I'll just keep on working
don't see much of a choice.
No need to start complaining
they don't hear little man's voice.

So, I'll just stick to the plan
work and save till I've turned red.
Then I know I'll be able to retire
no more than ten years after I'm dead.
