Drifting Will

I have considered thee
free flowing "will"
upon the horizon.
Shall I step back and feast
in thy glory or just be bathed
in the aura of your passion?
Shall I reach for the touch
so often missed, yet a wave
fluttering from a midsummer's
night.

Ah, the question!

Had I touched thee,
cupped thy chin in my hand,
whispered glories of love,
would you have stayed to share?
Or, would the desire to leave,
once more, drive me.
Drive me to the mouth,
the mouth of the valley
to once again lay in wait;
to glimpse thy soft spirit
flowing by.

Don't ever be frightened to ask the question, you may be pleasantly surprized by the answer.
