Slow Swoon Southern

This creative swooning touched
the inner thighs of my
traditional southern roots
and blossomed as a fig tree
just prior to bearing its fruits.
Liken to the outrages beauty
of an explosive sunset print
he painted the taste of a julip
with its savory twig of mint.
As if this were the inebriant
drawing me back to the tavern
of "Slow Swoon Southern."
