Timing was great
no better might I say
roses first blooms
opened on this day.
Fresh scents
lovely sweet array
pink cascading
on her dinner tray.
One at a time
each bud opened wide.
She smiled, thanked me
teardrops in her eye.
What other touch
from nature's spray
could outshine
rose blooms on Mothers Day.
