I see colors galore
as she paints her hue
brushes on lavender
or a hint of pastel blue.
A far cry from the beige
my simple life used to be
bright reds and maroons
touches sort of yellowry.
Never saw such crimson
her orange is quite bold
splashes of purples
stripes of green and gold.
I see colors when shadows
were often called my norms.
She brushes and strokes me
to a rainbow when in her arms.
