By The Fireplace

We laid by the fireplace
on a comforter of love.
Watched while the flames
flickered and shoved.

Pushed closer to passion
lit up the flames of lust.
Peeled off scars of yesterday
to renewed ways of trust.

Something 'bout the heat
the brilliance of the fire.
Enlightened flicks of flames
seemed to warm our desire.

With each crackling spark
like a jolt from your hips
told of a need we share
a taste of puckered lips.

That lovely array
fit us like a glove.
Laying by the fireplace
on a comforter of love.

It has been far too long since I've visited. I'm glad I had the chance to come over. Your words are always inspiring, and beautiful. This one warmed me from the inside out.

This is about as far as it can be taken. I guess that I am just to much into love to be able to listen to the harsh words of lust.
