I Heard The Wind Before I Died

I heard the wind before I died
the swoosh surrounding me
Those engulfing rushes
of unruly patterns filled
with ecstasy.

I heard the wind before I died
which gripped my very soul
in fathoms of pleasured
monstrosities its touches
deep and bold.

I heard the wind before I died
whose lust was of a hue
of a colored masterpiece
which explodes within
my view.

I heard the wind before I died
as you birth my senses real.
Added deminsions of passion
to levels I never knew
could feel.

I died a death of pleasure
you touched me to the core
and opened up a new heaven
holding wide a lovin door.

I dipped my toes into your stream,
waded out beyond what seemed
prudent and wise, given the distance,
drawn somehow by desire's persistence.

I measured each step by the feel below,
taking me farther than I'd dared ever go.
Each lapping wave of you beckoned me in,
like wine upon water, your touch to my skin.

I painted our grotto with my sighs
when I found forever in your eyes.
We rose with the wind, to the top of a willow,
lay in its arms, dove's nest for our pillow.

I floated like feathers in a warm summer zephyr,
engulfed in your soul, became blinder and deafer
to all the distractions that might draw us apart,
yet I found nothing withers a loving heart.

I drowned in your ecstatic essence.
No other lifeforce, save your presence,
could breathe enchantment, revive me with song
borne by the same wind to which we belong.

Such a beautiful, endearing, haunting poem Spencer, which prompts me to offer the above. Write on, dear one!

Good evening again..........This poem is wonderfully stirring and poetic and beautiful and amazing and its a poem like no other I have read before. This poem is quite a work of art in itself without needing my words..........You keep me wanting more of your writing........You are a true poet in more ways than anyone could ever say.........The shelves of Barnes & Noble would be lucky to fill its shelves with your writing...........This should be written a thousand times and I can say that I would never tire of it............A thousand thousand thousand more times. Thank you for sharing it.
