Reflections -Reposted

I walk just on the edge
see reflections of it all
and as I look in the water
the images are just as tall.

All of life's journey
reflects back to me
as I reach each stage
life feels reverently.

By Sue with titles of Spencer's Poems

hiya, sweet spence!  how are you doing?  how's judy and the house coming along?  i do hope that you're both surviving these trying times, and, knowing you, you surely are ;) ... *hugs*   so, listen, amy wrote to me and wanted me to participate in a special "poetry for spencer" group write that she put together ... well, i'm not good at being a "groupie" ;) , so, instead of writing something for her little venture, i decided to do something just special for you ... yes, i have NOOOO problem whatsoever if you post it in your journal, but this is done as an "I love your friendship" thing ... this poem was created by YOU (unless, you wish to call this a collab between you and i ;) ) !  i thumbed thru your poems and created a poem using your titles, with no extra words added ... this is for you, my friend:

Midnight Overture

When did you leave heaven, my angel in disguise?
What doth the hither say? Where do angels go to die?
Caught heaven in my net, as if you were a dream.
Might I call you comfort, where webs of dreams are spun?
Might I request a stroll by the lake after midnight?
Standing in a daze, from this mountaintop,
moon harbors mysteries, comforter of love, history's breath.
Butterflies at the door, "Sweet Liberty" uttered in heavenly voice,
Beyond the limits, as if you were a dream.
Come out and play, come play with me,
beyond the rainbow, flower of my life.
Certainly I would, you touch my soul,
trace my secret garden of peace, serenity of youth,
flakes of flames, you light my fire.
Tears washed out, seasons change.

Feels So Right

Let us hang together
in the moon lit dust of joy.
A sort of dangling around
the type of love we employ.

Let us continue to be
so sensitive to the theme
of merriment and laughter
dashing towards our dream.

Be us so outstanding
yet softly to the touch
even the tiniest of a creature
gets noticed from us.

Love sketches on a canvass
details bubble over in delight.
This tenderness of heart, shared
must be blessed to feel so right.

I Can Love You Like This (Revisited)

The feast of love never fails
to satiate the most inner parts.
To love like this is
the fulfillment of precious dreams
and thy wildest imagination's delight.
O, for a lark and thy love,
let me soar to the heavens and
select the most delicate flowers
to form a bouquet.
Or to the deepest ocean
to recover the shimmering glimmer
from a single drop of water.
Might I learn a new step
to twirl and dance as I too know
"I Can Love You Like This,
If given half a chance".

Bio Poem

Spencer

Sensitive, aggressive, loving and often helpful
First son of Steve and Augustine
Lover of  life, nature's beauty, joyousness and open minded people
Who fears closed minds, war, not being able to take care of Judy
and not catching fish

Who craves acceptance, devotion, sharing and being helpful
Who gives assistance freely, a caring soul and smiles galore
Who would like nothing more than for Judy to experience a miracle and be healthy again, to see daughters succeed and better relations within the community
Resident of delectible dreams in St Louis

I Write Poetry

I write poems which help you
to reach and touch a feeling
sometimes just a word or two
can start your heart to reeling

And for myself I write just
for gratification and pleasure
to create or maybe raise
a thought from its leisure.

I write poetry cause it feels
so good shaping a thought
exploring senses and minds
to see what I have wrought

I can take a trip to places
no other has ventured to go
sail the high seas or fly off
to London, Nigeria or Tokyo

All I need do is start a word
maybe it will take a  phrase
to start a journey of joy
which leaves all in a daze.

I've made love all over
danced in exotic places
consumed a variety of food
put smiles on many faces.

I write poetry to tell a tale
to sing a special love song
wallow in the deepest of lust
making sure you come along.

I create verses which may
make you cry from pain
perhaps laugh up a storm
then I start all over again.

I love to explore the years
or the season's special glow
each and every creation
comes from my heart's flow.

So enjoy raising passion
kissing all the hidden spots
outlining her with my tongue
damn I love lovin a lots.

It doesn't matter the topic
I can go there and use my wit
stir up a political argument
write words to make you forgit.

Sometimes I punctuate
real good like a scholar
other writes are a mess
causing word nuts to holla.

For me, I get so much joy
from creations I bring to life
it releaves stress of everyday
and makes me void of strife.

So, now you know why
I write the words I do
to bring happiness for me
as well as joy to you.

Audio entry (Because You Make It So)

My love for you increases
With the passing of each day
And blossoms forth in tenderness
To form a sweet bouquet.
Each week adds just a little more
Of things to make it strong
Sincerity and deepest trust
Help it to go along.
The months bring hope and faith to me
And cause my love to sing
A song which mellows more each time
Your kisses pluck the strings.
Your smile is fuel to keep it warm;
Your words cause it to flame
And sparks fly to the skies above
Each time I hear your name.
And that is why, dear love,
My love for you will grow
To fill this life with happiness
Because you make it so.
