If Tomorrow Never Comes/If I Should Die This Peaceful Night

If tomorrow never comes
I've lived my happy days
you've made life wonderful
with your loving ways.

If I should die this peaceful night
when all around is dark and still
I couldn't want for more than this:
the love you've given, a dream fulfilled
.

I couldn't be more sated
in just how it all came out
Loving, sharing, spreading
showing little doubt.

When time becomes a fleeting thing
and, at the same time, long and slow
I find the answers within your touch
there, in the love that you've bestowed.

If tomorrow never comes
yet, I count this day.
I can not complain in how
you've loved me your way.

If I should die this peaceful night
and fail to greet another sunrise
I go with no regrets to voice
having seen eternity in your eyes.

Feel so grateful being with you
as if I'd been love's special crumbs.
There'll be a lasting smile beaming
even if tomorrow never comes.

I must have done something right this time
to feel such wonder, to be truly amazed
for, if I should die this peaceful night,
I've seen forever within your gaze.
