Somebody needs to do somethin
'bout that house over there-
tis falling apart, needs some work
nobody seems to care.

Somebody ought to call the police
that lady over there said.
All that shootin I hear
makes me feel so scared.

Somebody should do somethin
'bout the crime over here-
all the youngins standing round
fills a lotta folk with fear.

If nobody does a thang
and we all wait on somebody else--
We'll see the whole neighborhood fall
with nobody to blame but ourself.
