The Argument

THE ARGUMENT

They helped make my success failure
And our love to be life’s decay.
Who are those people who bow
So wretched,
They drain and they cast away?

Now they question my belief
That love keeps my life alive
Though not another would take a view
Through the stained glasses of my eyes.

I will redress old words anew
Spending again what is already spent.
Please know, my love, I write of you
For you and love remain the “ARGUMENT”.

  1. Whose argument - theirs or yours?  An interesting question that I'd love to debate...

Please don't go to all this trouble,
there is no need to spend
    what has already been spent,
I know in my heart of hearts
that our love is heaven sent.
let others think what they must think
and do what ever it is they must do
as for me I do not see that we
    have cause for argument.
