Eventide
Your wish, only my dream
till my night time view
allowed us to meet
as lovers known to do.
Gentle passions shared
needs oft seemed foregone.
Spirits riding the tide
till the stars are withdrawn.
Daylight left a panoromic
vision deemed the best.
Tho we shared spiritually
we visited upon the flesh.
My day seemed to float
akin to an ecstatic ride.
Nothing but magic remains
till we revisit at eventide.

Reflections
Reflections
I walk just on the edge
see reflections of it all
and as I look in the water
the images are just as tall.
All of life's journey
reflects back to me
as I reach each stage
life feels reverently.

Feed Me, Woman
Speak to me, woman
thy words are as a meal
I gorge on.
Words whose flavor are akin
to honey dripping from a muffin.
As I bite into its lavish fiber
drips well at the corner
of my mouth
tongue struggles
in an effort to slurp
even that morsel.
Nary a letter might go to waste.
Feed me, woman!
Place those strawberries
twix my lips
as you so tenderly do
allowing me to savor
every bit of the juices
as I roll the fruit on my tongue
inebriating all sense,
penetrating my whole being,
from thy special brew.
Thy words are tidbits of joy
sprinkled as powdered sugar
on top of a freshly baked tart
and
when mama allowed...
like licking the bowl
after the cake is in the oven.
Feed me, Woman!
You speak not only sugary treats
yet a balanced meal.
Meat and taters, spiced,
cooked to perfection,
gravy steaming on top,
garden fresh veggies
drenched
in the butter of your smile.
Thy words call up memories of joy
and mesmerize my psyche
which floats to a pillowry rest on a bed of clouds.
O Feed me, woman!
Words which assist in the daily walk
thru that dark archway;
the one I must cross to make each day
a show of love
and watch as the chewing of thy words
advances the metamorphous which lifts me.
Lifts me higher in the glow of the moon
and within reach of the glittering stars.
Lift me in a journey touching all the universe;
beaming, glowing a magnificent array
of rainbow colored hues.
Feed me, woman, allowing those sweet tarts
baked so lovingly in thy own oven
to gorge my soul and in my mind,
fly and soar with passion spilling
lovets to each in need of joy.
Allow me to touch the wandering heart.
Let me squeese love into the smallest cracks
and as the ill of heart search,
be touched.
Feed me, woman.
If no other understands;
I do.
If none other grasp thy purpose;
I shall
and thrive in the warmth and sweet
aromas radiating in words
from the oven of thy heart.

I Wanna Make Love Country Style
I got to go back down South
if but just for a little while
I wanna make love again
in that ole country style.
I wanna make love
out in the field
near a bale of hay
the only shield
in the heat of the day
Oh, I wanna make love
down by the stream
water singing the blues
as the wind whistles a tune
sailing on our country cruise
I wanna make love
so I can see the stars
out under the trees
where lady moon
is peeping thru the leaves
Oh, my, my, I wanna make love
with that ole country gal
take off them seeing glasses
so I can hold her real close
taste them lips, pure malasses
I gotta go back down South
sometime soon fo I die
so I can make love wild and free
out under that open sky
I wanna make love in the country
see the birds slip for a while
hear the rustling reeds
while making love country style.

A Stroll By the Lake
A Stroll By The Lake
A bottle of wine
A hunk of cheese
a stroll by the lake
a sensual tease
soft moonlight
aglow in the dark
ripples on the water
a sensual spark
scents alive
enlightning haze
ecstatic splender
loves ablaze

Group Write On Same topic
Hello Journal Land. Seems its time to do another group write like we did once before. It brought a lot of writers out of our closets and helped with new interaction within Journal Land. This time the topic to write on is:
You Touch My Heart When You ......
Sample:
You touch my heart
each time you smile
when you glance my way
I feel in great style.
You touch me when
each time I hear you say
You love me more and more
each blessed day.
You thrill me no end
when you kiss me each day
you touch my heart
when you love me that way.
Del Cano
Simple but you get the idea.
Write those lovely poems, post it in your journal, and drop a link in Spencer's Place so we can see what everyone came up with! Not a poet? Well, give it a try anyway... who knows, ya might find your calling.
Good luck to all.
Lets set a deadline of 2 weeks to Aug 17 so if its successful we can change topics.

After Midnight
After midnight and she's sleep
watch as she breathes another world
as if the whole universe is gone
while my mind dances and twirls
mine own thoughts linger
to where we used to be
on mountain passes
and the shores of the sea
In our world of love
as well as dreams we had
I'm missing her presence
while feeling a little sad.
Yet, I know deep inside
in her world-like abyss
resides the residue
of our former life of bliss
